00 Raiser + GN Sword III

Welcome to my review fo the High Grade Gundam 00 1/144 Scale Model Kit #54- 00 Raiser + GN Sword III made by Bandai. Here is a picture of the box art-

 I got my 00 raiser kit from http://www.bigbadtoystore.com/, I would reccomend them for buying gundam model kits, they have a variety of different gundam products. The 00 Raiser + GN Sword III is a good model kit to build it  shows off what the gundam is and includes a variety of weapons and accessories, it includes-

Beam Sabers x2.
The Beam Sabers hilts can be stored in the back of the waist (as shown in above picture). They hold pretty well I have not had any problems with it so far. They do stay in the hands pretty well (lower picture), but they are loose if you don't place them correctly in the hand. But, they do look good in the hands.

GN Sword II x2.
The GN Sword II's store in the side of the waist on both sides (as shown in 1st picture). They can turn into either sword mode or gun/blaster mode. You can also attach the beam effect parts to make them longer. It comes with an extra hilt piece to make it look like Darth Maul, but when you add the effect parts, it makes them look very good, but to put them in the hand for double mode, you have to the white part off the hand and put the hilt in the opened hand then put the plate back on.

GN Shield x2.
The GN Shields are that much of a weapon but it can make the 00 Gundam, 0 Raiser, or 00 Raiser lok better they don't look very good on the 00 itself but they do look good on the 00 Raiser on the sides of the 0 Raiser's wings. If you look at the 1st picture you can see two notches on the inside, the top notch is for regular mode but if you look at the 2nd photo you see it can be fixed to combine (combined mode on the left, regular mode on the right). If you'll notice the Celestial Being markings on the shields, you do not have to put these on them but I decided to put them on the shields. Also, the GN Shields come with the 0 Raaiser if you buy the 00 Gundam and the 0 Raiser seperately.

GN Sword III.
Finally the weapon that makes this model kit great! Because it only comes in this kit (in anime colors, it previously came out in HG00 #42- Trans-Am Raiser), Bandai has previously released the 00 Gundam, 0 Raiser, 00 Raiser Designer's Color Version, and a few others. The GN Sword III is a very good weapon, you can fix it up so you can make it look like a regular sword. You can flip it back to fix in beam-gun mode, with the Raiser Sword effect part, you can make it look like it's firing the gun. But the raiser sword does look pretty cool though.

And, finally here is a picture of ALL of the weapons.




Here is the 0 Raiser:

The 0 Raiser is smaller than I expected it to be, but it makes up for it with being able to combine with the 00 Gundam to form the 00 Raiser. You can put the GN Shields on the wings of the 0 Raiser, which does make it seem better a little bit though. If you look at the bottom picture, it shows the 0 Raiser taken apart, with the fuselage in 00 Raiser mode and the left wing also in 00 Raiser form, but the right wing is still in 0 Raiser mode.



Here is the 00 Gundam:

 The GN Drives on the 00 Gundam can  move around pretty wel as shown in these pictures, they can be put in launch mode, in the front to make a GN Field, or can be put regularly off to the sides.

 The legs have a fair bit of poseability, the knees are double jointed, the hip can move around a lot, the waist piece doesn't get in the way that much anyway. The foot also has a fair bit of poseability as well, it can turn up and down from the side joint, move up and down and the ankle guard can move up for the foot to have more poseability.

The arm can move at the wrist, the blue piece at the clear piece on the wrist can move, double-joint at the elbows, and shoulder could do a 360 degree turn, but the GN Drives get in the way though. The upper arm can swivel as well.

The 00 Gundam comes with three hands, two regular fists and an extra left hand for a cool pose when it looks like it's slashing a GN-XIII in half.

The 00 Gundam's head is basically made up of small parts, it is kind of hard to put it together, the stickers on the inside of the crystal's on the side are very small, so is the sticker on the back of the head, there are stickers on the v-fin (the yellow part is the sticker), but the head is pretty cool on the model kit.

Here is the Grand Finale..... The 00 Raiser!

 As you can see the wing pieces of the 0 Raiser attach to the 00 Gundam's GN Drives.

 The 00 Raiser does look pretty good with just the beam saber hilts on the back and the GN Sword IIs on the side, and on the standard action base/stand it comes with.

And so, as it is in its full glory, the 00 Raiser + GN Sword III is a very good model kit. Out of a scale of 10, I would have to give this a 9.5. I thought it deserved this because it doesn't have the clear parts colored green like the anime does. But its not that big a deal, if you took the time to read this blog post, you are either a fan Gundam, me and my YouTube or both, it doesn't matter.

What My Blog Is Going To Be About

This is my first ever blog post, I am just going to explain what this blog is going to be about, this blog is about gundam model kits, or better known as in japan and other areas, gunpla, and a few other things. I want this blog to be infomative about how to build Gundams. The main gundam model kits I will be building are the High Grade 1/144 Scale Gundam 00 kits. But, there are some other kits i will be building in the future, check out my Youtube page for my reviews of them.
